Hawkpink one-of-a-kind bags give me an opportunity to marry my love of sewing and metalsmithing. They are a great canvas for fanciful focal points.
The exterior of this bag is luxuriously supple brown lambskin from Italy. The interior lining is silver-gray silk and features an interior zippered pocket. I kept the natural edge of the leather on the bottom of the pocket on the back of the bag, for a touch of whimsy.
The removeable ruched handle was inspired by my love of nature, in particular the bark of old trees on a local trail.
The pendant is fixed to the bag using antique bronze rivets, to match the antique bronze bag hardware. The pendant features a beautiful Raku cabochon made by Maku Studio, surrounded by faceted tourmaline accents.
