Product Care
How to take care of your sterling silver jewellery:
- To preserve the polish of your sterling silver jewelry, avoid exposure to household cleaning products, such as bleach or any other strong cleansers.
- If your jewellery has stones or crystals, it is best to avoid prolonged exposure to water, especially showering, swimming, as water can damage softer stones.
- Tarnish is a naturally occurring process with sterling silver.
- Clean tarnished silver with silver polishing cloths.
- Store sterling silver pieces in a dry place, in a box or bag, to minimize exposure to air/oxygen.
- Everyone’s body chemistry is unique and can affect how an item will tarnish.
- If your jewellery is patinaed, i.e. blackened, I polish these pieces with a special clear wax to maintain the patina as long as possible.
- If you use hairspray or perfume, put your sterling silver jewellery on after spraying.
How to take care of hand-knotted necklaces:
- Necklaces hand-knotted with silk cord should not get wet, please remove before showering or swimming.
- Similarly, some stones are softer than others, and should not be exposed to water or harsh chemicals – regardless of stringing material.
Caring for zippered pouches:
- Hand or machine wash with mild soap, no bleach.
- Hang dry, do not put in dryer.
- Lining is water resistant, so spills can be wiped away with a cloth. Mild soap may remove stubborn spills.
Care for Bejewelled Bags:
- Avoid exposure to water, i.e. it wouldn’t be a good idea to wear the bag in a raging rainstorm.
- The leather is soft and can be wiped with a soft cloth.
- You can spray the bag with a leather protector, if you wish.
- Care for the focal point will be provided for each bag, depending on the materials used.
